By means of partnerships with Brazilian and foreign laboratories, Arquipélago is equipped to carry out air emission assessments for a wide range of pollutants (CO, CO2, NOx, SOx and volatile organic compounds [VOCs]). Based on field measurements and on the mathematical models used and recommended by the U.S. EPA, we are able to delineate the dispersion plumes for each type of contaminant, assessing the potential impacts to the human health or assets.

An assessment of pollutants dispersion can analyze the accumulated impact due to multiple sources of emissions. The modeling can also be conducted so as to investigate the impacts caused by individual contaminants generated from the contamination sources. The modeling results are compared to national or international air quality standards, in order to evaluate a site's compliance with the air emissions requirements.

The Arquipélago engineering team is highly skilled in finding solutions for the optimization of pollution control equipment , thus allowing for emissions to comply with the adsorption capacity of the medium.
