issuance
of Resolution
No.
1 on
01/23/86
- which
made
Environmental
Impact
Assessments
(EIA)
and
the
ensuing
Environmental
Impact
Statement
(EIS)
mandatory
for
the
permitting
of environment-modifying
activities
- risk
analysis
studies
began
to be
incorporated
to some
types
of projects.
In this
sense,
in addition
to chronic
pollution-related
aspects,
the
prevention
of larger
accidents
is also
considered
in the
environmental
permitting
process,
through
risk
analysis
studies.
With
a multidisciplinary
team,
ARQUIPÉLAGO
is fully
